2008 Nationals - Greeley, CO
This was my first time to Colorado and my first Nationals since 2001. Most important it was a reunion with Sheila Monks and finally getting to meet her husband Bob that I have talked to on the phone since 1998. I had a wonderful week with Bob and Sheila and we caught up on a lot of old and new news and it gave me an opportunity to meet friends of Sheila's and Bob's. I also shared my motel room with Ursula Dudek (Wildoak Shelties) and had a great time and meant a new friend.
I learned a lot of grooming tips from Sheila and was able to give her a helping hand as Sissy was not able to attend. Sheila has been a great friend over the years and its great to have all the confidence in the world when purchasing puppies/dogs from her. As she had told me many times, I would not send anything to you that I would not keep myself. That has always stuck in my mind and I truly respect her for that. I guess you could say I am the other part of Shield Crest Shelties on the West Coast.
